COVID-19 Temporary Pool Protocols and Rules
Effective 5/1/21
COVID-19 Warning:  The danger of exposure to the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 exists. The association cannot ensure that any surface is germ-free. By entering our pool and park areas, you take responsibility for your own protection including for disinfecting your hands and any surface you touch.

COVID-19 Temporary Pool Protocols and Rules supersede the pool rules where applicable.
  • Face covering Per CDC guidelines, face coverings are recommended for people not fully vaccinated at check-in/out, in bathrooms and on the pool deck.  Face covering is recommended for fully vaccinated people in crowded areas. See CDC.gov for current guidelines.
  • Social distancing Staying at least 6 feet away from people who are not a part of your household is recommended unless they are fully vaccinated.
  • Pool Access  All residents must swipe an active pool key fob to enter the pool gate and must check-in by providing their name, fob number and address to the gate monitor, who will verify you have a waiver on file, log the arrival time and number in group.
  • Waivers are required. We encourage residents to submit a one-time waiver online on hpnhoa.org (must be a registered user) prior to visiting the pool. You must complete a paper waiver at check-in if pool records do not show a waiver is on file. A waiver must be signed this year even if you signed a waiver last year. Waivers are entered in pool records within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Residents must NOT open the gate from the inside for others to enter.  All residents must swipe their own key fob.  No fob, no entry.
  • Highland Park North residents and limited guests (5 or less) only.  No pool parties this summer.
  • If you have a cough, fever or other symptoms of illness, you should NOT use the pool.
  • Capacity Limits We ask everyone to be a good neighbor and share the pool if capacity limits are reached.
  • HPN Pool furniture (chairs and tables) are available this year.  We recommend residents bring disinfectant wipes to clean furniture before use.
  • Drinking fountains and the shower are in operation unless restricted by governmental regulations.
  • Bathroom doors will be propped open when the pool is open and our gate monitor will sanitize the bathrooms multiple times per day using disinfectant spray.
  • HPN will not provide any pool toys. Items left at the pool will be disposed of at the end of day.
  • Residents who do not follow these health and safety rules or our pool rules could have pool access suspended and/or be fined.
